Hinter Auctions conduct onsite clearance sale auctions around Noosa and the Hinterland, Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Brisbane regions.
Whether you have recently sold your house, property or farm, in the position of executor responsible for a deceased estate or have items in storage gathering dust we have a range of auction services that can help. Onsite auctions can be the ideal method to facilitate a full clearance whilst getting the best price possible for your items.
Onsite Clearance Auction Package
For just the standard commission rate of 11% * our onsite clearance auction package allows sellers peace of mind knowing that the entire sale process has been taken care of by the Hinter Auctions team.

Our standard clearance auction package includes:
- Lotting of items
- Photographing items
- Cataloguing
- Uploading catalogue to our website for public viewing
- Online marketing via our website, social media, email and various listing platforms
The Clearance Auction Sale Process
Pre-Auction
Consultation
An appointment will be arranged at a time that is convenient for all parties involved for a no-obligation consultation We will inspect the layout and the items for sale and advise of the best way to set up for auction.
Engagement of Auction Services
Once an agreement has been reached a contract will be drawn up with the full terms of the auction services and agreement to engage Hinter Auctions to conduct the on-site sale.
Lotting, Photographing and Cataloguing
The team at Hinter Auctions will place all items into lots (a lot could be a single item or multiple items as a package). The lots will be photographed and a description added. This will be compiled into an online and hardcopy catalogue.
Advertising
Hinter Auctions will promote the auction via social media, email to our subscriber list and in local publications (extra charges may apply for print advertising). We strive to attract as many genuine bidders possible.
Auction Day
Signage
Signage will be placed on site. Signs will include:
- Auction sign and details (at front of the property)
- Auctioneers details
- Terms and Conditions
- Parking areas
Sound
Depending on the site layout a sound system may be installed in the auction area.
Registration and Check-in
All bidders are required to be registered prior to bidding and assigned a bidders number. A registration desk will be set up onsite.
The auction
This is where the action happens. Bids will be called for by the auctioneer with the assistance of bid spotters. The clerk will record winning bids, bidder number and hammer price if sold.
Payments
Payments are taken for winning bids by Hinter Auctions staff at the registration/check-in desk.
Methods of payment include:
- Cash (Hinter Auctions will ensure an adequate float is available to facilitate cash payments)
- Credit/debit card
- EFT (by prior arrangement)
After bidding
The auctioneer and staff will remain on-site until the pre-arranged time after bidding. During this time, sale of lots not sold during bidding can be negotiated.
All signage and equipment will be removed by Hinter Auctions
Post Auction
Deposit of payments
All bidder payments will be deposited into the Hinter Auctions nominated trust account. Card payments are automatically deposited into the nominated trust account.
Vendor Settlement Statement
A settlement statement will be emailed or mailed to the vendor when all lots have been processed.
This will include:
- Lot number
- Selling price
- Commission and expenses incurred (agreed to prior to auction)
- Vendor balance due
Payment to Vendor
The full payment of balance for sale of goods will be deposited into the vendors nominated bank account (unless otherwise arranged)
